Abstract:The rightto property is guaranteed by the Romanian Constitution and by the international conventions to which Romania is a party, in particular the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Specifically, the Civil Code regulates and protects the right to property. In addition to constitutional, treaty-based, and civil law, criminal law also ensures the protection of property. To understand how this protection works, this brief study aims to first analyze the protective measures provided by the Romanian Criminal Code and, subsequently, the concept and scope of this protection.
