AUBD JOURNAL

In March 1939, the first issue of the “Annals of the Faculty of Law in Bucharest”—as the journal was then called—was published in the form of quarterly issues intended to feature the results of scientific research conducted by professors and students, as well as reports on significant events in the legal and scientific landscape of the time. The purpose of this publication was to foster and sustain “a scientific movement conducive to progress.” These objectives have been preserved, so that even today the journal “Annals of the University of Bucharest – Law Series” (AUBD Journal) publishes studies and research by its faculty members, as well as by colleagues from universities in Romania and abroad, articles written by young researchers, students, or doctoral candidates from the Faculty of Law, and information regarding current legal developments, events taking place within the Faculty of Law, or students’ achievements in international competitions.

After a long period following 1948 during which it was published only once a year, our journal resumed its quarterly publication in 2002, benefiting from the presence on its Scientific Board of prestigious figures from the European legal community. Starting in 2006, the articles published in the journal have been accompanied by abstracts in internationally used languages (English and French), and since 2009, a technical section has also been included, featuring not only abstracts but also keywords to facilitate thematic searches. In addition, the table of contents, abstracts, and keywords are also available on the journal’s website, aubd.drept.unibuc.ro. 

Since 2014, the journal has once again been published as a single issue, but with more pages. In addition, the journal has been successfully indexed in the international databases ERIH Plus, EBSCO, CEEOL, and HeinOnline.

Because some of the articles are published in foreign languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian), the journal of the Faculty of Law in Bucharest is part of a journal exchange program with nearly 100 libraries and universities abroad.

AUBD – Legal Forum

Starting in 2020, an online journal called AUBD-Forum Juridic was launched, which is indexed inthe international databases CEEOL, HeinOnline, and DOAJ. 

The journal publishes, under the same conditions, articles by Romanian and foreign researchers as they are received and reviewed, thereby ensuring the rapid dissemination of topics of interest.
