Abstract: At the onset of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, the European Court of Human Rights decided to suspend part of its activities and extend certain procedural deadlines, including the deadline for submitting state or individual complaints to the Court. These measures are not in accordance with either the European Convention on Human Rights or the Rules of the Court. The validity of these measures may be reviewed by the Court’s judicial panels in specific cases.
