Abstract: Relations between labor unions and employers’ organizations are governed by collective bargaining agreements. The manner in which employers’ and employees’ organizations are recognized as qualified to represent their members is left to the discretion of each country’s domestic regulations.

In Romania, representativeness is an essential requirement that must be met by employers' organizations and labor unions wishing to participate in the negotiation and conclusion of collective bargaining agreements.
