Abstract: A work may be made known to the public under the author’s real name, a pseudonym, or as an anonymous work. In this article, we aim to highlight the significance of the author’s name, which can take on the characteristics of an unregistered trademark, by analyzing this issue from various perspectives. Three names, three famous authors, and three distinct cases reveal the legal implications of the author’s name, which has become a symbol guaranteeing the quality and authenticity of the work.
